Testimonials

  • “Melissa has been such a breath of fresh air when it comes to therapy for my two-year old with a speech delay. This year was my first time seeking out a specialist for my daughter and after having a poor experience with another therapist who took quite a passive approach for months, Melissa came in with such an enthusiastic can-do attitude we were seeing progress within just a few sessions. Her approach of using humor and always keeping the sessions fun and interesting with a variety of new activities continues to keep even my antsy two-year old engaged and is constantly asking for her on the days we don’t have sessions. She is not only wonderful with kids, but it also extremely supportive with my husband and I, answering my constant questions around speech and also providing a great deal of general parent education. From giving advice on handling tantrums to my daughter’s shy demeanor to potty training, she has been a wealth of information and such a valuable resource for our family. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for an experienced and compassionate speech therapist.”

  • “We came from another country to get better care for our nonverbal son who has Autism. Since moving here, he has had 10 different speech therapists and none of them were as helpful as Melissa. He is now 9 years old and learned to say about 30 words in just a few months. He can now tell us what he wants, is starting to interact more and understands many new directions. We are so grateful for Melissa and our picture is finally optimistic. First of all, she is a very nice person. Melissa has amazing techniques that she taught us so we can work with our son at home. Her instructions and plans work magically for him. She is professional and his progress speaks for it. We are excited to see how much more our son learns.”

  • “She works wonders for our kids. We’ve seen a big difference in skill level and advancement! She helps your children reach their goals and gets them ready for school at each grade.”

“Melissa has worked with my grandson for over a year. We've seen amazing improvement and would highly recommend her as a Speech Therapist for your child.”

  • “My son has worked with Melissa for over a year now. She took him from basically non verbal and made him in to a confident kid who can communicate all of his needs! Her unique style and compassionate demeanor puts my son at ease. Most of the time he doesn’t even realize he’s learning new skills! On top of working with his speech, she has also helped us navigate his sensory issues and has pushed him out of his comfort zone. We have seen such a tremendous improvement in our sons abilities, and are so thankful to have found Melissa.”

  • “Melissa has gone above and beyond working with both my children. We have seen tremendous progress with her in home therapy sessions. It’s very convenient and calming for my kids. She thinks outside the box and targets their needs. She has extensive training and knowledge in many areas that we have not experienced before. My boys are always excited to see her and motivated when she comes.”

  • “Melissa Lammer was my son’s speech therapist and also did an early intervention with my toddler girl when she did not have many words. Melissa had incredible insight identifying the challenges that my kids were facing regarding speech and even sensory exposure that I did not realize or could not put my finger on. My son made great improvement and my daughter’s vocabulary exploded. I am so thankful for Melissa’s help. She has an integrated approach, so in addition to helping immensely with my son’s speech, she even taught him how to swing after all my attempts only resulted in frustration. Sessions with her are so much fun! I was actually kind of sad when my kids “graduated.”

  • “After one session my 11 year old daughter said it was the easiest time she ever had drinking a milkshake. We always thought she was just a picky eater but learned she had a hard time swallowing foods. Melissa provided Facial Reflex Integration that, from what I understand, is supposed to help ‘wake up’ the nerves in the mouth for feeding and speech sounds. During ours sessions, Melissa was very patient and removed the stress of eating by letting her explore foods in a way we never thought of. She also gave us many home suggestions to help change our family eating habits that have helped tremendously. She is very knowledgeable about nutrition and how foods affect our body.”

  • “We started with speech therapy just before the pandemic began, and there were many sounds my son could not make. Additionally, my child was a little older, so our road has been longer than if we had started sooner. Melissa has been our favorite speech therapist. She has been so wonderful that we followed her as she changed clinics. I cannot say enough good things about her! She is playful, patient, and kind. Her connection with my son is fantastic. Working with her makes him love speech therapy, even though it is really challenging for him. He looks forward to seeing her, and he is so disappointed when we have to miss an appointment. But, more than anything, the results have been amazing! We have been so blessed to have met her and feel incredibly fortunate to have her as our speech therapist. She has been the absolute best. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a therapist for your child.”
